XReality Academy is a community where students, mentors, and XR enthusiasts come together. We aim to foster a welcoming community where people of all ages and backgrounds can learn and network with one another. To achieve this, we asks that all members practice the following guidelines:
Be respectful and inclusive of all students, mentors, and staff, regardless of skill, intelligence, or background.
Value the contributions of others by listening with an open mind and encouraging different points of view.
Communicate with respect, whether it be through written text or by spoken word.
Act with integrity and respect the intellectual property of others and make your work your own.
Be respectful of others’ time by showing up to mentor sessions and community events in a timely manner.
Show your appreciation when a community expert helps you with an XR coin.
To foster an inclusive and safe space, we ask that you abide by the following rules. Any user who is found to be in violation of any of these rules will have their account suspended.
Bullying, harassment, and violence: You may not engage in the targeted bullying or harassment of others on any public forum or private message. This includes promoting hate against others on the basis of identity, threatening violence against others, or promoting terrorism/extremism.
Privacy: Respect the privacy of others. You may not publish or post other people’s private information without their authorization. Never threaten to post intimate or sexually-explicit media.
Spam/content manipulation: Do not interfere with the community by spamming or manipulating content. This includes sharing links to third-party websites that violate any of these policies.
Impersonation: Do not impersonate an individual or entity in a deceptive manner.
Sensitive media: Media containing adult content, sexual violence, assault, or gore is strictly prohibited.
Illegal activities: You may not engage in illegal activities including any transactions related to illegal goods or services.
Plagiarism/copyright: Do not plagiarize the work of any user or work outside of the platform. Do not violate copyright or trademark laws.
